The dock, and the tray behind it
On a phone, a dock floats at the foot of the screen with the places you use most. It slips away while you scroll down a long page and comes back the moment you scroll up, so it never sits on top of what you are reading.
The round button at the end of the dock opens a tray. Signed in, the tray holds Messages, Plans, Saved, AI Assistant, Agreements, Price Check, Settings and Help and support. Signed out it holds AI Assistant, Price Check and Help and support. The tray is a faster door, not a second map: everything in it is also in the menu.
Light and dark
Vallo comes in a light and a dark theme. Choose under Settings, then Appearance, then Theme: Light, Dark or System. System follows whatever your phone or computer is set to, and changes with it.
The choice is kept on this device. A few surfaces keep the night in both themes because they are built on night photography, such as the photographs on a listing and the front of the website; everything around them follows your choice.
Motion
Under Settings, then Appearance, then Motion, you choose how much the app moves. Kept on this device. If your phone asks for less motion, Vallo always follows it.
- Cinematic. Everything, deeper and slower. Pages rise into place.
- Standard. The way Vallo is designed to move.
- Calm. Short fades only. No splash, no doors, nothing that loops.
- Off. Nothing moves. Every screen appears finished.
Three switches sit under the levels:
- Opening splash. The Vallo mark assembling when the app opens.
- Door moments. Walking through after you verify, and the doors closing when you sign out.
- Living backgrounds. The slow light that drifts behind the pages.
The splash and the door moments only play at Standard or Cinematic. At Calm and Off nothing loops, nothing drifts behind the page, and every screen settles at once.
